Brighton keeper Ryan praises 'rock' defensive duo Dunk and Duffy

Brighton goalkeeper Mathew Ryan has hailed the duo of Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy for their influence so far this season.

Brighton have made a strong defensive start to their Premier League campaign, conceding only 5 goals in their first four matches of the season so far and Ryan has gone on to hail the defensive duo of Dunk and Duffy for the Seagulls' impressive performances at the back this season.

Ryan said: "That's an example of someone who wants to keep a clean sheet just as much as I do and will do absolutely everything. That will and dedication to keep it clean, they're always on about it in the lead up to every game and during the game. 'Let's keep a clean sheet'.

"I'm just loving playing behind them. They are two big lads dealing with all the high balls. They throw themselves around and leave nothing out on the pitch.

"It's an absolute pleasure playing behind them. I'm getting used to them and understanding their style of play. It's a bit of a process, but we're taking baby steps forward all the time."
