Brighton hoping Spartak Moscow striker Ze Luis will solve goalscoring woes

Brighton are being linked with a big money move for the Spartak Moscow striker Ze Luis.

The Cape Verde attacker is already the subject of a failed £5million bid, but Brighton are hoping an increased offer will see the player move to England in the January transfer window.

Despite the appeal of the Premier League, and the financial pull of Brighton, it will take an outstanding offer to get Ze Luis out of Spartak.

The club are hoping to retain their Russian League title and they are taking the Europa League very seriously.

Spartak were in the UEFA Champions League group stages. However, the side failed to qualify for the last 16, finishing third in their group. The result is a place in the Europa League round of 32, and it is a competition Spartak want to win.

Ze Luis is integral to those plans, so transfer talk may have to wait until the summer.
