Brighton keeper David Stockdale says promotion to the Premier League would mean more to him than an England call-up.
The 30 year-old is yet to receive an international cap but believes promotion from the Championship would better than a potential Three Lions debut.
Stockdale told BBC Radio Sussex: "It is always nice but I would take promotion this season than an England call-up any day. It is always something you work for.
"You don't really set goals and say 'I want to be in the England squad' because sometimes you can be unrealistic.
"I know there are very good goalkeepers and I am not saying I am better than anyone. I will just do what I can do for Brighton".
