Brighton & Hove Albion have rewarded Lewis Dunk with a new long-term contract.
Dunk did not enjoy the best of debuts in the Premier League after scoring an own goal during Brighton's 2-0 defeat against Manchester City on Saturday.
But despite the gaffe, there is no denying the fact that the 25-year-old is a crucial player for the Seagulls.
Having played a key role in helping Brighton earn promotion into the English top flight, Dunk has now been handed a five year contract by the newly promoted Premier League outfit and the 25-year-old is certain to be important if Chris Hughton's men are to avoid relegation this season.
