Newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion are set to launch a £2.5m bid for Hertha Berlin winger Genki Haraguchi.

The 26-year old, who has won 22 caps for his country, is desperate for a move to England after spending the last three years in Germany.

With a only a year left in his contract, the Bundesliga club will let Haraguchi walk for a cut price after initially demanding £5m for his services.

Haraguchi has scored four goals in 84 appearances for Die Alte Dame.
