Brighton will never resort to long-ball tactics while he is in charge of team affairs, declares boss Gus Poyet. There was frustration from sections of the home support during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Bournemouth as the table-topping Seagulls continually played the ball out of defence.
But Poyet said: "We have played a passing game from our back four and that is the way we have played to get to the top of the league, so I want the players to continue playing that way.
"I just ask for the supporters to have patience with us. If the players start reacting to the crowd, panicking and kicking the ball long they will be out of the team."
