Brighton boss Gus Poyet was delighted with Leo Ulloa's goalscoring debut in their FA Cup defeat to Arsenal.
Poyet hopes the addition of Ulloa will help make the difference.
He said: "Leo will bring presence and strength, which is something we were missing, especially in matches when we have been the better team.
"If you see Giroud, he was outstanding, stronger than us and powerful, which was very difficult for us to handle.
"I think Leo is going to have that kind of impact in the Championship for us without a doubt."
