Brighton boss Chris Hughton has confirmed plans to send new signing Percy Tau out on-loan.

The Seagulls have welcomed seven first-team arrivals to the Amex Stadium ahead of the 2018/19 season, and the manager is happy with the work that has been done to date.

He said, “We've been active and we always want to improve the squad that we have, it's something that's not always easy but I think the fact we brought in two very early in the summer perhaps relieved some pressure on the squad and the recruitment processes.

“We're pleased with the business we've done and we're also happy that we've managed to get it done early.

“We want to develop a squad that can cope with the rigours of the Premier League, we got a very good taste of it last season and felt we fared quite well – but we know the second season can be tough and we've got to make sure we're ready for it."
