Brighton boss Chris Hughton was delighted with Lewis Dunk's England call.

Dunk received a first England call-up for their Nations League double-header against Croatia and Spain. Despite not featuring in either of the matches, Hughton says it constitutes great reward for his development.

"Delighted for him, delighted for the football clubs and the managers and coaches before me that have seen more of his progress. I've seen him close to four years but there are others that have seen his development even more so," Hughton said.

"He's been knocking on the door for a while now. They have good options, so for him to be part of that group is great praise for Lewis and how he has conducted himself over the last few years."
