Bridcutt delighted to be playing again for Sunderland boss Poyet

Former Brighton midfielder Liam Bridcutt is happy to be playing again for Sunderland boss Gus Poyet.

The 24-year-old is determined to repay Poyet's faith in him, and the next step comes tomorrow as he prepares to make his home debut for the Black Cats against Hull City at the Stadium of Light.

"Gus gave me loads of opportunities at Brighton," said Bridcutt.

"He's helped me out throughout my career.

"He gave me the chance to make a name for myself.

"He saw my potential and thought I could play a key part here and I have to thank him for the opportunity."
