Former Premier League player Brian Howard has signed for CSKA Sofia.
Bulgaria's most successful football club is back on its feet after London-based businessman Laurence Davies helped put together a consortium to make it a public company.
The Daily Mail says Cheshire-based football agent James Featherstone has helped Davies put his plans into action and Howard, 30, could be the first of several acquisitions for new-look Sofia.
The free agent midfielder, who was released by Bristol City early this summer, underwent a medical this morning and will be unveiled later today.
