Coors Brewers have denied reports they are set to end Carling's sponsorship of Celtic and Rangers. A Carling spokesman said: "Our position is that we will sit down with both clubs later on in the year for talks about our future partnership.

"But these talks about our commercial relationship going forward beyond 2010 are months away and haven't even been scheduled."

In a joint statement the Old Firm clubs added: "We meet on a regular basis with our partners at Carling where many issues are discussed.

"We will meet with them in a few months' time to begin discussions about our future association beyond the end of the current contract."
