Bresciano to leave Palermo for Al Nassr

Mark Bresciano is on the verge of leaving Italian club Palermo to sign for Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr. The Australian international midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season so will leave Sicily as a free agent to team up with former manager Walter Zenga in Saudi Arabia.

The deal will be over a couple of years and will be worth close to $AUD3million according to an Al Nassr spokesman.

"This is a contract worth (about $2.8 million) over a two-year term,'' the spokesman said.

Bresciano was named in the Socceroos 30-man provisional squad for next month's World Cup earlier this week but is still recovering from a niggling back injury.
