Bresciano departs Italy for UAE's Al Nasr

Mark Bresciano has sealed a big-money move to United Arab Emirates club Al Nasr.

The 31-year old Australian midfielder has left Italian club Lazio for a reported $AUD5.5million, ending his 12-year Serie A career.

Bresciano, who also played with Empoli, Parma and Palermo during his Italian stint, had been linked with the shift for a while before but now it has occurred, Al Nasr have spoken of their delight to secure his services.

"Bresciano is a good addition to the team with European experience," said team manager Khalid Obaid.

"The board has supported (coach) Walter Zenga's ambition and with Bresciano we will challenge for the title and Asian Champions League progression this season."
