Brescia star Alessandro Diamanti has urged Serie A clubs not to ignore the talent in the lower leagues.
Diamanti has spent most of his career outside the top-flight, despite his short spell with West Ham United in England.
He said: "I feel very much like the Livorno folk, as they don't work much and go to the beach instead.
"If I had behaved like Antonio Cassano then I'd still be in Serie C2, but let's not forget we are talking about a phenomenon of a player, so he can get away with more.
"I am convinced there are many Serie C players who can happily play in Serie A.
"When I was at Albinoleffe, I'd often go out clubbing, but now I have changed and came back to Italy in order to earn my place in the Nazionale."
