Brescia President Gino Corioni admits they're made a pitch for Juan Roman Riquelme earlier this summer.

The Argentina midfielder has since committed himself to Boca Juniors in the past week.

"Yes, I thought about it," Corioni said. "But the risk was too great."

The Brescia supremo says he would love to bring a big-name to the club before the start of the new season.
