Brentford youngster Raphael Calvet has no regrets rejecting an offer from Cardiff City.
The 19 year-old trialled with Cardiff in preseason after leaving Auxerre, but eventually decided to sign with Brentford.
Calvet, a France U20 international, told Foot Mercato: "I did a test in Cardiff this summer. The club made ??two proposals: one did not really suit me, the second was more appealing.
"But I knew I would not play there, that I would need to wait at least one season before getting playing time in the Premier League, without any certainty.
"It would have been a bit more complicated to play there."
