Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is ready to bring Harry Forrester back to Villa Park.

Forrester could be on his way back to Aston Villa - just 18 months after the club released him to Brentford.

Paul Lambert has continued to monitor the progress of 21-year-old Forrester at the London side, who are nine unbeaten in League One, and could be ready to bring him back, reports the Daily Mirror.

Villa want to get the England youth player back and are prepared to pay £300,000 in January.

They may have to fight off competition from Reading, Southampton and Celtic, who have all been checking his development.
