Brentford are set to win the race for IFK Gothenburg striker Lasse Vibe.

Expressen says the ambitious Championship outfit have trumped Schalke for the Denmark international.

Vibe, 28, was expected to join Schalke this summer, but Brentford have tabled the superior offer.

The striker was the subject of an approach from Swansea City in January.

The Bees snapped up former Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran last week.
