Brentford boss Terry Butcher is set to snap up Tottenham prospect Cian Houghton on-loan.

The 18-year-old, who can play at right-back or left-back, is well down the pecking order at Spurs, but has caught the eye of Brentford, who need defenders after loan deals for Lewis Emanuel and Adrian Pettigrew came to an end.
