Brentford winger Moses Odubajo believes that the Bees have strong Premier League ambitions despite the impending exit of successful manager Mark Warburton.
Warburton led the club through promotion from League One to the Championship last season and has led the London club to the Premier League play-offs this season.
Despite his success, Warburton will not be kept on by Brentford owner Matthew Benham next term but that will not stop the players striving to gain promotion to the top flight according to Odubajo.
"I would say it is very controversial but I would also say that the management and the staff higher up here have bigger ambitions, and that is to be in the Premier League in the seasons to come," he said.
"The owner, what he does is what he does. His decision is final so we have to go with that. But the club is going places, certainly with the new stadium and the training ground. It is evolving."
The Bees will try to overturn the 2-1 deficit against Middlesbrough in the second leg of the play-off semi-finals at the Riverside Stadium on Friday.
