Former Manchester City striker Uwe Rosler has praised the work of the club's owners.
The Brentford manager wrote on mcfc.co.uk: "There's no doubting that City are now a force to be reckoned with in European football. Since the takeover in 2008, and with the players that are now here, the club has moved on at a fantastic pace. The owners arrived and they promised to be here for a long time and they have kept that promise.
"They have put a lot into the club and they have also worked to develop East Manchester. They are giving a lot to the local community which is very much at the heart of what Manchester City are.
"Over time, the new academy will also produce its own players because there is a lot of money going into that area too. It won't be long until we see a young player coming through that we have produced by ourselves."
