Breel Embolo: What they say about Man Utd's big money transfer target

After Eric Bailly, FC Basel teen Breel Embolo could be the next youngster to join the Jose Mourinho era at Manchester United.

Born in Yaounde, Cameroon, Embolo has already experienced much in his 19 years.

We hear from several key people who have worked with the Switzerland striker during his burgeoning career:

Fabian Frei (ex-FCB teammate):

"He is very willing to learn. He is a sensation. He works hard and can play in several positions.

"He'll run hard up and down the flanks. But also, playing centrally, he can shield the ball. He's so strong it's impossible to knock him off the ball."

Bernhard Heusler (FCB president):

"Fans love to see a young player emerge and make his way. Breel inspires excitement. He allows fans to dream."

Werner Mogg (FCB U16 coach):

"He was always a rascal, has helped his teammates and is also off the pitch a friendly, simple, honest boy who lives for football."

Pascal Buser (teacher):

"He has no airs, is always friendly and courteous to everyone. When we visit, Breel introduces himself and offers guests something to drink. Most are often surprised that a footballer from FC Basel stands in front of them, and wonder why Breel is like this. But for him it's natural."

Balz Heusler (ex-president BSC Old Boys):

"The manager came immediately to me and said that Breel is an extraordinary player.

"After the C-juniors we were faced with the situation that we could no longer help him, the transfer to FC Basel was the logical consequence.

"But I think with us he has learned other things, for example, that all the players on time shall be included in training and football boots should not be just lying around in the locker room. But if he came back, we could now laugh at such stories."

Luca Zwimpfer (ex-BSC Old Boys teammate):

"On the pitch he was incredible: In one season he made 100 goals.

"He is one of the nicest and warmest people I know. I think this is one reason why he has now reached this far."
