Brazilian takeaway for Ronaldo

Portugal and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed a partnership with the Gramado Parks resorts network and chocolate brand Lugano.

The deal will see the five-time Ballon d'Or winner launch a chain of restaurants in Brazil featuring Portuguese cuisine and be named 'Dona Dolores' after Ronaldo's mother.

The first of the restaurants will be built in the town of Gramado in Rio Grande do Sul, and is set to be inaugurated during the 2018 Fifa World Cup in June.

The restaurants will feature recipes formulated by Ronaldo's mother and be led by Kátia Aveiro, Ronaldo's sister, who also runs a restaurant in their hometown on Madeira.

In 2015, Ronaldo partnered with hotel chain Pestana to launch a UK£54 million chain of Ronaldo-themed hotels. The hotels are now established in Funchal, Lisbon, Madrid and New York.
