FC Dallas are believed to close to signing Brazilian midfielder Bruno Martins.
The 25-year old ended his time with Sao Paulo club Paulista at the end of 2010 and was then offered a deal by the Texans which he couldn’t refuse.
Martins told JogoLimpo.com that he was never going to join another Brazilian club because of his loyalty to Paulista but confirmed that the Dallas offer was a good one.
“I was only talking to the Paulista, to renew my contract in Brazil here, but the folks at Dallas I did not refuse the proposal,” he said.
“I am 25 years old and have to think about my future. Besides, I had thought of playing outside of Brazil and I think this is a good time.”
And Martins revealed that another club in the US, unknown to him, were also showing interest.
“I do not know the name of another team, but it was the United States. They expressed interest, but the proposal of FC Dallas was better,” he added.
