San Jose Earthquakes have completed the signing of Brazilian defender Fabio Carleandro da Silva.
The 29-year old joins the MLS club from Rio Branco in the Brazilian league following stints with Nautico and Serbian outfit Red Star Belgrade.
"We are excited to add a player of the calibre of Fabio da Silva to our roster. San Jose General Manager John Doyle said.
"He can play the ball out of the back and is a solid defender. He will help strengthen our backline's depth and add some good experience."
Da Silva will be eligible to play Saturday against the Kansas City Wizards. Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
