Brazil staff to take care of Arsenal's Eduardo

Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva is preparing to return home to Brazil to continue his rehab from a horror broken-leg injury.

Croatia striker Eduardo met the Brazil national team doctor, Jose Luiz Runco, in London last week when the five-time world champions played Sweden in a friendly at the Emirates Stadium.

The 25-year-old will fly to Brazil in a fortnight to begin treatment. Runco said: "Following that first contact, I have not had an opportunity to analyse the X-rays. However here in Brazil, it will be easier for us to analyse his injury and plot a recovery plan.

"The most important thing is that he is in a good frame of mind ahead of the rehabilitation."

Eduardo insisted this week would forgive Taylor for the horror tackle. "He came to the hospital but I did not see him," he said. "My wife told me he came to see me while I was having the operation.

"Maybe he was there when was unconscious but if he comes to me now then I will accept an apology."
