Brazil's Fabiano: England not up to our standard

Luis Fabiano believes the Brazil national team is still way ahead of World Cup contenders England.

Ahead of the friendly between the two nations in Doha, Qatar this weekend, the Sevilla striker says Brazil's quality is much better then what the Three Lions possess and they are intent on defeating them to show they are the best team in the world leading into next year's World Cup.

"Today, Brazil are better than England," said Fabiano. "There are statistics, results and we have more experience to show that, without a doubt.

"That is why we want to win this friendly, to show that we are strong and ready for the World Cup in 2010.

"People talk about England's attack and the strength of the Premier League, but I believe our tactics and our team create more chances and more goals than England.

"A player like Kaka is unique. He has brilliant quality and fits into the organisation of our team.

"But the strength of this Brazil team is that we don't rely on just one player. We have a strong squad and skilful quality players throughout.

"That, I believe, is the difference between Brazil and all of our rivals. Our strength in depth and quality makes us a great team."
