Brazil loss shows Australia aren't as good as we think - Leverkusen's Kruse

Robbie Kruse is of the belief that Australia's 6-0 defeat in Brazil in September proves the team is not as good as they think.

The Bayer Leverkusen winger is preparing for the Socceroos' meeting with France in Paris this weekend and sees it as a great opportunity for the team to bounce back from the disappointing showing in Brasilia.

"There's no positives you can take from that match, so obviously you realise we're not as good as we think," said Kruse.

"Hopefully we can move forward to the next game, try and not make the same mistakes, and not try and show too much respect to the opposition, or not give them too much time and space and turn over a cheap ball.

"It's going to be another tough test, but hopefully we can bounce back."
