Brazil national team manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is backing Atletico Madrid to beat Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday.
The Spanish club head to Stamford Bridge on the back of a 0-0 draw at the Vicente Calderon on Tuesday and Scolari is gunning for them to do the job so four of his Selecao stars avoid playing in the final on May 24.
David Luiz, Ramires, Willian and Oscar could all be involved if the Blues make it through to the final and Scolari wants to avoid that scenario as the Lisbon decider comes just two weeks before the World Cup kicks off in their homeland.
"To us, it would be better if Atletico eliminated Chelsea, because then I'd have four well-rested players," he told reporters.
Additionally, Scolari revealed that Blues ace Luiz is among his group of leaders for the tournament.
"My chosen leaders are David Luiz, Julio Cesar (Toronto FC goalkeeper) and Fred (Fluminense striker)," he added.
"I had already chosen them and I've been talking to them a little more during some trips."
