Brann winger Erik Huseklepp is a target for Sunderland.
The News of the World says the Norway international scored against France earlier this month and has attracted interest from a number of British clubs.
Wolves, Blackburn and Celtic have also been scouting the 25-year-old.
The Black Cats were represented at the 1-1 draw with Stromsgodset and could consider making an approach before the transfer deadline.
However, the clock is ticking until the end of the month, and the signs are that Huseklepp will end up staying in Bergen.
"I cannot bother thinking about it," he said of a potential transfer. "I don't know much about it."
