Newcastle Jets have appointed technical director Branko Culina as head coach. Culina has been installed as the coach for the next two years following the resignation of Gary van Egmond yesterday.
Despite almost ruling himself out of the job, Culina has accepted the position and will commence immediately.
The former Sydney FC boss said he was unsure about coaching again after a bad experience with the Sky Blues but will now be back in the hot seat as the Jets strive to improve on last season's Premiership hangover where they finished bottom.
