Titus Bramble's future at Sunderland is in doubt.
The Daily Mail says the defender is on police bail after being arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and possession of a Class A drug near Middlesbrough last month.
A recent drug test carried out by the FA revealed that there were no illegal substances in Bramble's system, and the club have also carried out their own investigation into the matter.
The former Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic player was initially banned from the training ground after his arrest, and he has recently been training on his own under the eye of the club's fitness staff.
Having initially said he would consider recalling Bramble if it was proved he had not taken drugs, Bruce is now considering whether to reintegrate the player into his squad or not.
