The pair play together for the Republic of Ireland.
"I thought they were brilliant to come in like that. I've known Longy before and he's a great lad," Brady told the Hull Daily Mail.
"He's willing to work hard for us and I thought he gave more than we could have asked for.
"Jelavic is another good lad who's willing to work hard and do well. I thought the two of them did very well."
