Brady urges West Ham target Rooney to quit Man Utd

West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady has urged Wayne Rooney to leave Manchester United.

The Irons are among clubs being linked with Rooney.

And Brady wrote for The Sun: "Some under-rated him, most admired him and a few loved him.

"But today Wayne Rooney is no more than a Man U squad member nursing a bad ankle as his team play this season's most important game at Anderlecht.

"Rooney is 31, Zlatan Ibrahimovic 35.

"But while the Swede just keeps scoring, Rooney — now United's goals record holder — has lost his pace and positivity.

"I'd recommend a move because he is worth far, far more than to become a piece of the Old Trafford furniture."
