West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady says people inside the club aren't surprised by Alan Pardew's success at Newcastle United - particularly in partnership with chief scout Graham Carr.
Brady wrote in her diary for The Sun: "Carr, a chubby pensioner and father of comedian Alan Carr, has brought in a different class of foreign players in what passes as the bargain bracket, £5-10million.
"Against Stoke today, the products of Carr's Euro-scouring blend beautifully and those who knew boss Alan Pardew here at West Ham say they are not surprised at his success in integrating them."
