Sean Dyche was surprised when told Burnley had beat Chelsea from a direct set-piece for the first time in almost four years.
Robbie Brady's stunning 24th-minute free-kick in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Turf Moor was the first direct free-kick the Blues had conceded since March 2013 when Rickie Lambert scored for Southampton.
After the match, Dyche could not believe the statistic he was told before praising £10million winter signing Brady who fired into Thibaut Courtois' top right corner from range in his full Clarets debut.
"Really? What's that all about?" he said when informed of the stat.
"You see they didn't know that we'd been working on that all week. Thank you!
"I didn't know that, but it was a sublime free-kick against a top-class goalkeeper, who is a giant of a man.
"To find the area of the goal that he needed to was fantastic."
1 - Robbie Brady is the first player to score a direct free-kick vs Chelsea in the PL since Rickie Lambert in March 2013. Stunner.
