Michael Bradley is keen to grab his chance at Aston Villa.
The USA midfielder produced a solid display in the heart of the midfield against Liverpool in the 3-1 reserve win and enjoyed donning the claret and blue shirt.
He told Villa's website: "It's always nice to play. To get out on the field at Villa Park was great. I really enjoyed it.
"To get 90 minutes was great. I had two big games with the national team last week so to come back and get a game straight away was super.
"I am fit and raring to go if selected. It's been great. I have enjoyed myself.
"There's good competition for places which is great. It keeps people firing and on their toes. It only makes everyone better."
