Bradford back in FA Cup after Good gaffe
Giant killers Bradford City have been reinstated into the FA Cup after a successful appeal.
The League Two club, who disposed of Arsenal in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night, were kicked out of the FA Cup last week after fielding an unregistered player in the second-round 1-1 draw with Brentford.
The Bantams appealed the FA's decision to suspend them from the cup but some help from Newcastle and some goodwill from the association has allowed them to get off with just a £1000 fine.
"The Appeal Board accepts that the failure to obtain and submit the acceptance from Newcastle United giving approval to play the player by noon on the match day was a genuine error and recognised that corrective action was attempted as soon as the omission was discovered and that no attempt to deceive was made," read a FA statement.
