Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury hopes to appoint a new assistant early this week.

The Cherries chief has has narrowed a list of candidates down to a couple of names and wants to make the appointment as soon as possible.

With Bournemouth not in action until December 11, Bradbury sees the next two weeks as the perfect bedding-in opportunity for whoever fills Fletcher's shoes.

He told the club's official website: "It will be at the top of my agenda to get it sorted at the early part of the week.

"It's an important role and good time to bring someone in. They will have 10 days or so after they're appointed to get to know the lads and get to work on the training ground.

"We've got it down to the last two and need to finalise it on Monday or Tuesday."
