Paul Bracewell and Adrian Tucker could remain on the senior Sunderland coaching staff next season.
The Evening Chronicle says new manager Dick Advocaat promoted the pair from academy duty upon his appointment.
It is understood that Bracewell and Tucker are likely to work under any new head coach installed in the summer.
Advocaat has also added long-time assistant Bert van Lingen and first-team coach Zeljko Petrovic to his backroom team.
