Robin van Persie scored a brace for Manchester United's U21s in a 4-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.

The Dutch international continued his comeback from an ankle injury, playing 81 minutes and netting on two occasions in west London.

After proving his form and fitness, van Persie could feature against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday especially with news that Wayne Rooney may miss the rest of the season.

Van Persie has not started a game since picking up an ankle injury during the 2-1 defeat at Swansea City on February 21.
