Braaten hopes for Bolton chance

New Bolton Wanderers striker Daniel Braaten is hoping for a chance to prove himself.

"The fans are the same in every country; they just want to see players perform and score goals," said the Norway international. "Hopefully, I will be able to do that.

"I am a quick player and, hopefully, I can score goals and be a success here.

"Like any player I want to play and, whenever that is, I just want to be able to take my chance."

Braaten has been used as a substitute in the games at Fulham and Portsmouth.

But he believes he's ready to complete a full 90 minutes if called upon.

"The pace and toughness is the major difference. The game is so much quicker over here, but I've played international football and I know I can adjust.

"I just need time to get used to it. My fitness is fine because I was halfway through the season back in Norway and, as long as I continue to get 45 minutes here and there, then I will be fine."
