Scottish youngster Patrick Boyle played 90 minutes for Everton reserves last night in their 1-1 draw with Aberystwyth.

Boyle was pleased to have played the whole game.

"It was nice to complete 90 minutes," he told evertonfc.com. "They were up for it so it was a good work out for us.

"After missing so much action last season I am just pleased to play a full game. I was happy with my progress this time last year but it all went wrong for me.

"Injuries are part and parcel of football and you just have overcome them and that's what I've tried to do. I feel fit now and I want to push on."
