Boyd said: "I want to be here for as long as I can and score goals for Rangers for as long as I can. It's never really crossed my mind to leave.
"It was important that I got myself back in the team, back scoring goals, and that the team won. And that's what happened.
"Obviously it's frustrating but we have a big squad and I just need to get my head down and get on with it.
"It has happened to me before and I've come back. I'm sure it will happen again in the future and hopefully I can come back from that too.
"It was hard but hopefully I have shown that I'm back and I can stay in the team."
