Terrence Boyd was on target as Rapid Vienna clinched second position in the Austrian Bundesliga on Sunday.

The American striker netted in the 34th minute as Rapid defeated Wacker Innsbruck 2-0 to move six points clear of third-placed Austria Vienna.

Former Hertha Berlin and Borussia Dortmund man Boyd has now scored five goals in his past three outings for a total of 14 in 28 appearances in Austria’s top flight this season.

USA international Boyd, who joined Rapid in June 2012, has also scored five times in the Europa League this term to be his club’s leading goalscorer in 2013/14.
