Burnley winger George Boyd sees big similarities with former club Hull City.
The Clarets are still waiting for their first win in the top flight after a third successive goalless draw on Saturday, this time at home to Sunderland.
"It's so similar," Boyd told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"Steve Bruce was always building on the defence and you build forward. If you keep clean sheets you'll win games, so it's very similar, and a great team spirit very similar to Hull.
"We've got a great base, three clean sheets for us is great and gives us something to build on, we just need that goal. We played well again, like at Palace last week.
"We were knocking on the door and it's eventually going to come.
"We created numerous chances and we just need it to come off someone's backside and go in. We'll take ugly 1-0s all day.
"The boys are playing so well and have taken to this stage easily.
"Eventually our luck will change and we'll get that goal."
