Boyd back from spitting ban and ready to repay Hull - Bruce

Hull City boss Steve Bruce says George Boyd is ready to return from a three-match ban and give his all for the team.

The 28-year old winger was ousted for three games for spitting at Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart last month but is available again and could feature this weekend when the Tigers head to Swansea City.

Bruce is confident that Boyd has shrugged off the incident and believes he will step straight back into the squad to have a positive impact.

"George is fine. He was obviously disappointed at the time but he'll not let it get to him," Bruce said in the Hull Daily Mail.

"The one thing about George is that he trains every day as if it's his last. You can't keep him down.

"He's one of these players who realises what a great job he's got. Even though he's not played every week, he's always got a smile on his face.

"If you'd said to him six years ago he'd be playing in the Premier League he would have laughed at you, so he loves coming into work every single day.

"He's an absolute joy to watch train and I'm sure he'll want to grab every chance that comes his way between now and the end of the season."
