Boxing champ Ricky Hatton has hit out at the owners of his beloved Manchester City.
The boxing superstar is tired of the way his favourite club has gone since the influx of Abu Dhabi billions. In fact, he is so angry, he wouldn't mind seeing them go.
"At the minute, I feel like giving them the money back," said Hatton. "Since the money came in, the fans have had these huge expectations and it's all gone a little bit t*** up."
City's failure to land AC Milan star Kaka has only added to Hatton's misery.
However, the 31-year-old believes Mark Hughes must drag his side up the Barclays Premier League table before they think about attracting world superstars.
"After Kaka, there's (Barcelona's) Messi and Torres - although I don't think he'll leave Liverpool," said Hatton. "But you can't attract the best players in the world if you're sixth-bottom of the Premier League. So far it's the worst we've done in the League for several seasons. I know it takes time with all the new players but it's the same old Man City and that's very frustrating.
"The problem is that sometimes we look good enough to win the Premier League and sometimes we look like we belong in the Blue Square North."
