Lee Bowyer must sit out the first two games of the season for Birmingham City.

The FA rejected claims he had served a three-match ban for his sending off v Preston on April 25.

Bowyer was on loan from West Ham when he was dismissed.

He sat out Blues' last-day win at Reading. When his loan ended, he went back to the Hammers who had three Premier League games left. Blues argued he completed his ban during that period.
